Taj Mahal

My friends, I have just discovered that the Taj Mahal may not have been built by Shah Jehan as a mausoleum for his deceased wif Mumtaz. According to the thoery (and there seems to be quite a lot of evidence pointing to the facts), it was in fact a Hindu Temple built some years before and taken of by Shah Jehan. He improved the temple before arranging for his wife to be buried there. There is more-it was not just her burial place, there are apparently more graves at the site. I wonder if you would be interested in finding out more about this theory? Perhaps you know of other evidence which supports this or disputes it? I am certainly hoping some of you will add your comments here-after doing your own research of course.

It does not stop me wanting to go and see it for myself though-no way.
